This special Carina Fountain Pen has been done in the Ivory Dragon Scales Juma material and accented with pure Damascus Steel accents and a sculpted two piece Damascus clip. It differs from the Damascus Carina Elegant by having a more sculptural clip and an extra Damascus Steel band on the body. The eye-popping clip has been hand sculpted in solid Damascus Steel and etched to bring out the layers of the steel. This particular artisanal steel was created by Lacy Smith and is an amazing focal point of the pen.
Damascus accents also grace the centerband, upper finial, lower finial and the grip section. Each band was turned in place on the Dragon Scale material, then removed, etched for definition and then replaced on the pen.
All of the usual nib finishes and widths are available via the drop down lists on the right of the page. Inking is handled via Converter Cartridge.
This pen conforms to the guidelines set by the Pen Artisan Guild (penartisanguild.com). It uses no manufactured parts or components other than its Jowo nib and Schmidt converter. This clip is handmade and every other piece of this pen was fabricated by me in my studio in Huntington Beach California.
